A visual and 3D interactive storybox to explore a character in the history of science.

The Storybox opens out to show Caroline Herschel, a woman actively contributing to science, a male-dominated profession in the 1880s. There is no visual record of her from that time, but the illustration is based on primary evidence: a silhouette of the younger lady; portraits in her old age; a dress she wore and archive documents, including evidence of the impact of illness on her appearance.

Storybox or 3D fold-out interpretation projects bring your historic characters or collection objects to life. Visual and tactile formats can be combined for storytelling sessions.
